Great Feral Hog Cartridge
I was on a feral hog hunt last week on a ranch between Sweetwater and Abikebe, TX. I shot a 100 lb. boar with this in the neck. That boar immediately flopped down on his side with an exit hole about the size of a fifty cent piece in his upper neck. He wasn't going anywhere but was still thrashing some so I gave him a finishing shot in the center of his neck. That was immediate lights out. This is my favorite factory .25-06 load! However I wish Federal would pay more attention to their nickeled brass premium cartridge cases. I have a handful of these cartridges with dimples near the neck area I find questionable. I never see this in Fusion or Power Shock factory ammo brass although those lines routinely show a LOT of surface stains and discoloration. Federal, clean up your act with your brass!
