Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hunting Deer w/ .223 is irresponsible. Great ammo, but. Yes, you can kill a deer with .223, but why would you? For every, "I shot a buck at 90 yards with my AR, there are probably 10 more stories that actually end in "but he ran off and I never found him."

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great penetration & perfect uniform expansion I shot a good sized doe at 100 yds with this ammo while walking to my stand; she ran approximately 25 yds and fell. Shot a big buck two hours later at 75 yds; he ran ten yds, made 90 degree turn, took 3 steps and dropped. Both shots were double lung pass through with flawless expansion. On the buck, the round hit a rib and still completely penetrated the body while maintaining uniform expansion. Both were one shot, very clean kills. This is my go to deer hunting ammo from now on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Impressed I have been using these rounds to deer hunt for 2 seasons and have killed 6 at 100-150 yards/ neck shots and they don’t move a muscle after the shot!!! Today I killed a 250lbs boar with this round at approximately 75 yards, double lunged and he didn’t take another step!!! 3/4moa out of my precision AR!!! Need I say more!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Effectiveness--A+ Opening day of MN deer season I shot a buck at 40yds. He ran 20yds and piled up. Examination of organs during field dressing showed that the top of the heart, including all major vessels, was destroyed. Fatal damage also occurred to the left lung. I couldn't ask for a better one-shot clean, ethical kill. This is the second one-shot kill I have made with this round..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sweet load. Savage series 12 VLP loves this load. 1 in 7 twist is no threat of fragmenting this projectile until it hits it's objective. On the range I had laser sighted my virgin Savage, then 20 rounds later, just look at the photo from left to right, a total of 20 rounds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Accurate and potent I used 62gr Fusion in my 16" barrel AR to take a medium sized doe at about 90 yards. Shot was just below the spine about 8 inches back of the shoulder, through and through. Doe dropped in place and died. Exit hole was about twice the size of entry. This round is very accurate and consistent out of my 1:7 AR. I highly recommend it for deer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This round met my expectations. I used the .223 Fusion in Minnesota last fall for the deer hunt. I was some what leary about using a .223 as that is obviously not a large round but is legal in Minnesota. I was pleasantly surprised by the stopping power of this round. I was in a bonus tag area (up to 5 Deer) and shot three. All were from 75 yards to 150 yards away. None went more than 100 ft, granted they were all hit heart/lung area. The exit wound looked like a shotgun slug exit (1 inch to 11/2 inch). I used to shot a .308 but the kick is more than I like as I am getting a little older and the shoulders are sensative.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wisconsin Whitetail This 9pt walked 15 yards before laying down. A double lung shot at the end of opening day in 2012. We recovered the bullet just under the skin, perfect expansion. While I know 223 is not the ideal caliber for Whitetail, it's what i had. The right shot with right bullet at 75 yards was a fast kill. Couldn't be happier. No for the 6.8 SPC!!!
